Qobuz USA Managing Director Dan Mackta said of the partnership, “Qobuz has always strived to make the highest quality audio accessible, as people become more interested in better sound. It states, “Tracks with a sampling rate above 48 kHz will be delivered to your Sonos hardware as 16-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC (CD lossless quality).” If the Sonos S2 platform is limited to 24-bit/48kHz - does that mean it’s all going to be downsampled to that or will Qobuz offer everything in 16-bit/44.1kHz CD quality? According to the Sonos Support website, that seems to be case. While the swoopy bars and upright position were comfortable for dirt road miles, I’d gladly swap to standard flat bars and trade a bit of comfort for more control in varied terrain. The Bontrager bars check all the boxes on my personal “dislike” list, and certainly each rider’s mileage may vary. That was enough to convince me to remove the racks for any day ride - no hardship since they mount directly and didn’t require futzing with spacers and such, but still a minor inconvenience. For comparison, my rigid Stache, with an aftermarket dropper and upgraded carbon bars, tips the scales at closer to 26.5 lbs. The 1120 is a fascinating bike, but my love for the Stache is undiminished.Īside from the slight manufacturing issue, the big rub is that despite being alloy, the racks add nearly four pounds to an already beefy bike, bringing the weight to a hair under 32 lbs. Up front, the direct-mount attachment to the fork crown was fantastic, and I’d gladly retrofit the front rack to my current bike if I could (I can’t). Our test model’s rear rack was a little twisted, something Trek assured us was limited to a few media demo bikes, but other than a little tire rub when cornering while loaded, the rack wasn’t a problem. In the rear, clearance for the included dropper post is appreciated, and Trek’s harness system for accommodating 8-liter drybags is clever, if low-tech. Those racks, unique to the bike, are a mixed bag. What are they know for: Vintage fleeces, vintage gilets, vintage jackets, vintage waterproofs, vintage outwear, vintage streetwear. Responding directly to the detractors, Zoe said: "Your comment spoke volumes on how ignorant you seem because of your wealth." "Every time we passed by a store, my parents would just say 'next time', but next time we'd never come." Responding to one of the comments she received on her unboxing video, Zoe explained that money was a difficult topic for her to address, as she "did not have a lot" growing illustrate her point, she shared that things like buying bread from BreadTalk was considered "a luxury" when her family first moved to Singapore from the Philippines. Instead of letting the naysayers get to her, the teen, Zoe, shut down the negative comments in a TikTok video posted on Monday (Jan 9). All she wanted to do was share her excitement on TikTok about receiving a new bag from her father. May just have a little natural gas under those properties. "Empire Gas is one of the largest retail distributors of propane in the United States and, through its subsidiaries, has been engaged in the retail distribution of propane since 1963." That same year, the company was sold to Northwestern Public Service Co. Well, did a quick search using his name & maybe this is the reason. Ans: In 1996, Robert Plaster sold Empire Gas to his son Steve and other members of the company’s management team. He may even be placing any of the usable land into the CRP (conservation reserve program). Pretty sure the nursing home residents won't be out rounding up cattle on 22,000 acres. Nothing more than a 'tax break' for a company that doesn't need it. I read an article a month or so ago about some nursing home chain that had bought a ranch that was something like 22,000 acres. Big companies are buying up farmland and using them for tax write offs. Possibly for a nice little tax write off. posted the county records show the guy doesn't own any cattle but could lease out the land for cattle. If you have any info on the area let me know. The number of abandoned homes and farms though has me wondering just what is going on there though because it would be an ideal area to set up a self sustaining homestead. but they were damned few and far between. Well stocked wood piles, chickens, some goats etc. There were a few homesteads along the way that showed some real resilience. I am not sure what has happened to that area. It appeared to me somewhat creepy to be honest. Some of the abandoned places were in better shape the further South one went but the numbers didn't change. All the way down to Mansfield it appeared at least every third house or farm was abandoned with many for sale. Stacks of firewood for sale outside and cattle appeared to be the only money making ventures going on. What few places looked to be still occupied were mostly starting to look pretty run down. Obviously it has a lot of money to throw around. I tried looking up what this place was but couldn't find anything about it on the internet so who knows. About the time we crossed one arm of the river you could see a huge "lodge" had just been built up on the ridge looking over the river and it appeared to be quite expensive. At one cross roads I swear this Empire ranch had bought up an entire little town and left it to rot. For 15 miles more or less every old driveway now had a brand new green gate and a sign that said "Empire Ranch". The first thing I noticed just after leaving Lebanon was the number of abandoned houses and other buildings. Also hwy 5 eventually passes by the Baker Creek seed place closer towards Mansfield. The headwaters of the Gasganade river meanders across the hwy here and there, that river and a couple of streams is what brought me down that way years ago. Hwy 5 which meanders down the center of the State crosses over I-44 at Lebanon, Missouri at which point I turned South and followed it. Not since my old days of kayaking every river and stream I could get into have I been that far down into South Central Missouri. Most of my video consumption is on YOUTUBE, so installing this EXTENSION was a breakthrough for me. This will resolve all your YOUTUBE audio/video sync issues for your HOMEPOD. On CHROME install an EXTENSION called "YouTube Audio/Video Sync" and adjust the setting to +500ms. (3) FOR YOUTUBE: Install TUNEBLADE and use CHROME. TUNEBLADE seems a little easier to set up and use compared to AIRPARROT3. But listening to music (Even non-iTunes music) is ok. There is still a slight annoying delay even at the 0ms delay setting for videos. (2) FOR NON-ITUNES MUSIC, Spend $10 on Tuneblade to send other PC audio to HOMEPOD. Don't underestimate this LOSSLESS and DOLBY ATMOS upgrade by APPLE. You can run iTunes on a PC and stream all the music to your HOMEPODS. For me, this alone is worth buying HOMEPOD for PC. Now iTunes/Apple Music (as of June 2021) offers LOSSLESS music streaming with DOLBY ATMOS. Use ITUNES for music streaming and for playing your MP3 files. (1) So far, the only way to use HOMEPOD with PC was ITUNES MUSIC. Although I couldn't find anything for GAMES yet. 3 things you can do fairly well are: MUSIC with or without ITUNES, YOUTUBE, and ANYTHING THAT VLC can play. I believe this is the best-you-can-do to make use of HOMEPOD with a PC. But one thing that bothered me was my inability to use it with my top-of-the-line PC setup. I feel like a god now with the ability to control so many things by voice. 10 minutes trial version is also available. This is the best you can do to use HOMEPOD on a Windows 10 PC.Ī while back I bought 2 lovely white Homepods and it was an excellent choice to control all my Apple HOMEKIT smart devices. I did it, and so can you.ĪirParrot is available from here with a single machine license for $9.99 USD and a 5-machine license for $29.99 USD. Load it on the computer in the other room, download a free iOS, or Android, or Windows 7 (soon to be 8) remote control for your computer, sit in the living room, and watch TV as if it your device had a glorious jailbreak. If you are one of the millions of owners of an Apple TV 3, I cannot see why you would not download and install AirParrot today. You haven’t lived until you have edited a movie on a 55 inch screen. I then ran PowerPoint, Keynote, Chrome, and even iMovie: AirParrot knocked it out of the park. For me, I am all things XBMC and and therefore I am all things media, so my interest was in streaming movies, shows, and music and AirParrot handled it all. It opens up a world of possibilities to your laptops and desktop computers. In the end, AirParrot is a great option for work or entertainment, the home or office, the shed or your bathroom. Once I adjusted the picture quality I was sending to the television, everything smoothed out and I was watching The Daily Show in no time. I then checked the settings and saw that I was streaming in 1080p to my Apple TV 2. This caused my television screen to stutter and everything began to slow way down. When I first installed AirParrot I attempted to stream a movie right away. Everything was very self explanatory.ġ) There was only one thing I found wrong with my time using this program, and it was easily fixed. The AirParrot team has done some fantastic updates to get us where we are today.Ĥ) When you do decide to play with the settings, they are easy to understand. This has not always been the case with this application. This program can really make you forget you are using a computer, and with the help of a iOS remote you can forego the mouse and keyboard all together.ģ) I was able to stream video, in fullscreen, without stutters and/or freezes. You can actually choose where your sound is going: computer speakers or the Apple TV connected television (with dolby digital surround sound perhaps). I just clicked the download link, installed, and was streaming my Mac to the Apple TV in a matter of moments!Ģ) I love that fact that the audio streams to the Apple TV as well. There was not a set up, no trying to adjust a million little settings that are far outside my realm of understanding. That said AirPlay Mirroring is only available on certain machines and what about those of us who do not intend to upgrade or own Windows machines? Well, AirParrot is here as a digital savior to us all.ġ) Unlike so many applications out there, AirParrot works right when you install it. That is until Apple recently added this exact functionality – AirPlay Mirroring – to its latest OS release Mountain Lion. Now, obviously Windows and Macs have been missing out on the AirPlay fun over these past few years. As real estate agents, we just have to ask our clients those open-ended questions, find out what is driving them and what they want to achieve, and then we go to work and do all we can to deliver that. “But if you have the right home and you have the right buyer, you’ll always achieve the right price. “It definitely is more of a grind than it was,” he acknowledges. Nine months since Halpin joined Elliman “on the crest of a wave” in an “absolutely blazing” market,” the support from his mentors and colleagues across the company continues to sustain him through the more challenging economic climate. And even though I’ve only been here a short time, I just want to pay that forward and share it with the new recruits who are joining the team.” “He said to me, ‘You have to have a sense of humor you have to be persistent and you have to do right by the client.” I try to do those three things every day. He credits Uhlinger with imparting “three nuggets of gold” that continue to guide him. “My response was always, ‘Oh, thanks, but, you know, I’m an actor.’ It was when he passed away that I actually started to listen to him.” “He would say to me, ‘You know, you’d be a really great real estate agent,” he recalled. It was Halpin’s grandfather who inspired him to pursue a career in real estate back in Ireland. When people feel safe, they make decisions to do business with you.” “Because you have to entertain, you have to build rapport, you have to build a bond, and trust is the core of it all. “All of my acting skills are called upon every day as a real estate agent,” Halpin said. Both experiences have proven valuable to his burgeoning real estate career, providing a business-owner’s perspective on the North Fork community and an actor’s ability to connect with people. He appeared most recently in the Marvel series Daredevil (and may yet again in the forthcoming reboot on Disney+). In addition to owning and operating the Greenport Oyster Company for many years, he has also been a working actor since he was 14, when he portrayed the young Malachy McCourt in the 1999 film adaption of Angela’s Ashes. Indeed, since joining Douglas Elliman in January 2022 as an agent based in the Cutchogue office, Halpin has kept a rather full plate. “That’s the key to this place: abundance,” he said. And my grandfather and I, we used to always comment on that-it was such an abundance.” Peter Halpinįor Halpin, those memories capture what it is about the North Fork that lured him back to stay. “But the variety of different species here is incredible. “Where I grew up, in Ireland, we were just fishing for mackerel and pollock,” he recalled. Born in Ireland’s County Limerick, Halpin was a regular visitor to Greenport, where his aunt had settled and where he and his grandfather would hook everything from striped bass, bluefish and weakfish to porgies, fluke and flounder. I love opportunities to be creative, getting the chance to work with new clients, and experiencing the honor of capturing so many precious memories.Among his many treasured childhood memories of spending summers on Long Island’s North Fork, Peter Halpin has particular fondness for the times his grandfather took him fishing on the Long Island Sound and Peconic Bay. I am currently specializing in high school senior portraits, family and children, and weddings. I have been beyond blessed, with tremendous support from my wonderful family, friends, and community.
